As you walk the streets of Santa Ana you feel the love and care among neighbors. Creating the crosswalk mural titled Paseando - Wandering was a special collaborative opportunity with artist Cynthia Luján, Willard Neighborhood Association, Santa Ana Active Streets (SAAS), and City of Santa Ana. Young kids who attend 5th-8th grade at Willard Intermediate cross use this crosswalk every school day. Many families cross here to go to sports games at the middle school. The crosswalk sits a few hundred feet from the huge Moreton Bay Fig which nested local famous parrots so many people leisurely walk around. The mural captures these fleeting experiences and warm feelings of leisurely passing through the streets of Santa Ana en route to their destination.
