ALTER SPACE

THE ALLERY

The Allery, an alley transformed by the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association (BKBIA) into a space for public art installations were artists are commissioned to paint four 4 x 8 foot panels. Normally serving as an alley for motorists, the space is closed to cars during events such as First Fridays Art Walk on Atlantic Avenue.

Cynthia Luján is a boon to the Long Beach arts community, as a graduate of Cal State Long Beach’s (CSULB) Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting program […] It’s only fitting that this visual artist, whose paintings are rife with vibrancy in color and movement, be given the chance to show her work at The Allery. Her installation will debut this Friday at Bixby Knolls’ First Fridays event.
