Cynthia Luján is an interdisciplinary artist, resides in Los Angeles County, and works in her new studio in Santa Ana. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) focused in Figurative Drawing & Painting, with a Minor in Russian Studies from California State University-Long Beach.
Solo exhibitions of Luján ’s interdisciplinary work has been featured at The Allery, Bixby Knolls (2016) and at AVD Gallery, Pomona, CA (2016). Her work has also been exhibited at the University Art Museum, Torrance Art Museum, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, The Brand Library, LA><ART, and Art Share L.A. among others.
She works as a Fine Arts Teacher for the City of Norwalk Senior Citizen Center and for the non-profit EngAGE teaching drawing & painting to older adults in Long Beach. In addition, she is a Special Projects Manager for FA4 Collective–a CSULB alumni-run consulting group working in Southern California, Co-Founder and curator at the alternative gallery space __flatline gallery in Long Beach, CA, and previously served as Education & Community Programs Manager–coordinating arts education, public art projects, and events at the Arts Council for Long Beach.
Her immediate goals are to obtain mural projects, solo exhibitions, and participate in local and international residency opportunities. Luján is self-represented and takes commissions on a limited basis
